Though the Hitchhiker's series is the more well-known set of Douglas Adams's work, my favorite book of his is Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. Did he start with all those disparate story lines and challenge himself to make them all meet in the end or did he start at the end and work backwards?

Sparkly Tips
I haven't worn nail polish in YEARS because it just doesn't stick to my nails... and well, I don't sit still well. So why have to torture myself with an hour of dry time for something that will rub off in a few days. Until shellac... I tried it the first time a few months ago and it really does stay on my nails! For two weeks! The only reason I have to change it is because my nails grow like weeds and the grow out gets pretty bad after two weeks. While I love my nail tech, I'm also a cheapskate so I bought the things to do my nails myself. This is a purple sparkly coat with a coat of pink glitter on top. I'm having trouble getting good color... will try to take another picture in dappled sunlight sometime.

30 Day Book Meme - Day Twelve
Day 12 – A book you used to love but don’t anymore
I can think of some rock bands I used to love and don't anymore (GN'R anyone?). There are books that no longer hold meaning for me but I don't think I loved them then necessarily. If I have to come up with something I think I'll go with Lord of the Flies by William Golding. As a kid, I liked the book... even if the wild did turn out to be a bad choice. As a parent, the whole idea terrifies me, for a variety of reasons.
